Last week was odd...election elation, followed by flat-on-my-back, stomach-virus-induced misery left me completely discombobulated by Friday morning. It was a bit of a deer in the headlights situation if you will. But, bolstered by a totally restorative family dinner at my friend Janet's house on Friday, I regrouped and managed to eek out a productive/restful two days. (But then again, eating big bowls of gumbo, outside, with good friends, next to a cozy fire, while your kiddos run around happily and play {or in the case of Millie, crash mid-meal} is the perfect recipe for a "restorative weekend" kick-off, yes?)
On Saturday the girlies and I had a lunch date with Christine and her littles and then we hit Family Day at the Power Station. And Sunday was all craftapalooza for a little work project I'm doing this week (think: neon paint + all manner of branches and found flora) it was good times.
Lately I hit Monday morning and I'm not quite ready for the week to start, but this morning I popped up ready to go. It's amazing what a good weekend can do to recharge you.

sounds like a fun weekend you had there... :)
Nothing seems to make the world right like a great back yard with family, food and friends - and maybe a glass of wine. Glad you had time to decompress
