It was a blissfully uneventful past two days. In fact, with the exception going to our friends Tracy and Van's house on Friday to watch the opening ceremonies while feasting on Middle Eastern food, I didn't leave the house once.
And it was awesome.
Besides getting caught up on work (me) here's what we did on our homebound weekend (in no particular order): splatter painted notebooks, made purses out of colored tape, watched the Olympics, made (and devoured) a banana cream pie from scratch, experimented with ideas for new necklaces, watched more Olympics, swam, played with neighbors, partook in the world's prettiest chocolate, watched even more Olympics coverage...
Suffice to say, it was a good weekend. Hope yours was splendid too.

That is a wonderful idea with the notebooks. It is now on my "to-do list" with my kids.
Yeah, I'm thinking those suede/brass necklace numbers are the goods, friend. Really nice.
sounds like the ideal weekend!
Good for you! A well deserved break. We also stayed in a bit this weekend and blissful is the word for the peace that comes from slowing down. That necklace is gorgeous! Any chance of a DIY?

I spy "The Surprise Party" in the corner of that bottom photo! We love that book. But one of my kids ripped ours, sadly. We have another good one of hers called "Good Night, Owl."
