So none of those photos above (except the last one, stay tuned) is from the weekend. They're all (again, except the last) from last Tuesday night when Sam hosted a little open house at her new office followed by the most perfect picnic of all time, which you can read all about here (if you are so inclined). The office and the picnic were so incredibly lovely, in fact, that they are going to be my weekend photos...well that and I took exactly one photo this weekend. Yep...the last one.
But photographic documentation notwithstanding, It was a good weekend. Thursday was Audrey's last day of school, so we picked her up and joined one of our favorite families on a surprise weekend getaway to a sweet little town about 90 miles outside of Dallas. We ate fried chicken, played in the park, frolicked in the lake, cruised around on our friend's boat, water-skied (me), went tubing (me, the girlies, and Bryan) and attempted to wake board, resulting in an ankle sprain so bad that it required a trip to the ER on Sunday (Poor Bryan). Oh and Audrey (finally) learned how to ride a bike thanks to our determined and patient friend Adam.
It was, minus B's ankle sprain, a magical weekend...even if we don't have any photos to prove it ;-)
Hope your weekend was splendid!

totally agree with jora! LOVE this idea, and would love it even more if i was a guest at this type of picnic! i'm saving the idea as inspiration for my daughter's upcoming 'picnic party'!
