Claire's bright orange nails... Despite loving them on everyone else, I've never had the guts to actually pull the trigger on bright coral or red nails. I feel a "living on the edge" moment coming on...
Jane's beautiful shop...the walnut boards are especially lovely.
This perfect vine-covered studio by Scott Lewis via Remodelista... (I've been having lots of "having a studio" dreams what with all the branch wrapping and fabric garland making and necklace constructing of late.)
And speaking of studios, I'm loving the peek into the Odette NY studio for Jen's awesome "The Makers Project"...
Caitlin's "brand new week" posts...love her little vignettes.
This beautiful "work lunch" via kinfolk journal... let's just say it's far lovelier than most of my work lunches.
McSweeney's new children's imprint...because there is nothing better than beautiful, artful, smart kid's books. Nothing...
This baby shower (via Jesse Kamm) -- by far the coolest, most stylish baby shower I've ever seen. And for the record, I think piñatas are needed at more adult parties, because really how satisfying is it to smash open a piñata!!?

Oh my goodness, thank you for the shout out! It's been so fun putting them together every week. So very sweet of you friend!
ps. I've never had the guts to do bright orange nails either - a little frightened that I'll only like them for a day and then want to take it off.
oo We Need a Horse-that is on my wishlist. Have you ever heard of Blue Deer and Red Fox? It's also illustrated by Clare Rojas. <3 her.
Re: the orange nails, just do it! It's easy, once it's on you'll see. Like when you took the plunge with red lipstick. Check mine out here:

And that children's book looks amazing. I want it for myself.

Great finds!
I love love love that vine covered studio.
I must check out the book for my little girl.
And you HAVE to try out the orange nails and report back to us on how it feels to live on the edge.
I love the idea of throwing a kids-style party for adults. Pinatas, bean bag toss (isn't that cornhole?) and lots of balloons. I think you're on to something there.
i always look so forward to your tuesday posts on "loving". if i was limited to read only one blog post a week from the entire internet, this would be it! jane's store has such beautiful little vignettes. and those walnut boards are so elegant and useful for appetizers.
Thank you so much for including Coterie in this beautiful round-up!
Ah....so much goodness I have missed over in this gorgeous space. I so agree with everything you said about salads...if ONLY I could create or find THE perfect balsamic vinagriette! :) And I love these favorite things and the dress above that you found via easy( just marked it as a favorite) So glad you had a fantastic august, you stylish lady, you!
