Abbey is my kind of people...there's her love affair with books and teepees and bunting and wooden spoons, not to mention her ability to get completely jazzed about the types of things that would completely jazz me.
She's also the kind of person I try to channel when I'm say, trying to embrace a little color in my house (Abbey rocks the color) or when I'm attempting a DIY project...(If you read her fantastic blog, which I'm sure you do, then you already know of her considerable and admirable DIY prowess. It is a thing of beauty, really.)
And after what was an altogether nutty past couple of days (so nutty that I'll have to give you the full low-down next week), her colorful, inspiring list is a perfect way to sign-off for the week. Thanks Abbey for the dose of pure happiness!
So without further ado, herewith Abbey's favorites. Enjoy and have a splendid weekend!

The Selby is always an inspiration.
I keep returning to the EmersonMade sneak peek on design*sponge. That space is incredible.
I'm obsessed with black barns, but this one by architect Derek Sanders is my favorite.

This is a totally random comment that has nothing to do with this post :) I was wondering what brand/where do you get your fish oil from? Thanks!!
I'm among the many who share an affection for Abbey. She always offers up something new. And that seems no small feat among design blogs. That Selby shot confirms I've got a long way to go before the need for a book collecting intervention.
LOVING the first image. x
Oh that black barn is perfect. I love the way the red door makes it pop. Thank you for sharing!

Love. I keep trying to convince my husband we need to paint the house black. Sadly, he resists.
i think you made me have a new favorite blog. thank you!
Great choices Abbey!
There is a black barn in Cabot VT, on top of a hill overlooking the valley. It houses the creative minds behind Zutano childrens clothing. It is sooo gorgeous!
Thank you all for your lovely comments and thank you to Joslyn for having me. :) x, Abbey
