It was a *big* weekend friends...
All of the rehearsals and logistics and craziness finally cumulated into Audrey's Nutcracker weekend... She had performances on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, and (despite the mild chaos) the whole experience was pretty fantastic. On Sunday evening (in recovery mode, over chocolate chip cookies and a viewing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas), I asked her if she had fun, to which she replied: "It was a lot of work, but it was really exciting."
Which is true of most of life's great moments, don't you think?
Other weekend highlights (which on any other weekend would have played the starring role) included time with my mom who is visiting from California, getting the tree and all the other decorations up in the house and a visit to the DMA to check out the newly revamped Center for Creative Connections, which was pretty fab...the girlies were literally running to get inside the museum. It was good stuff.
Hope your weekend was fantastic!

I don't know how I missed that Audrey made it into the Nutcracker! How awesome for her. I have the whole dang thing memorized I've seen it so many times. Hopefully I have a girl someday to share my obsession with, otherwise I will have one annoyed son...
you have such an eye for all things beautiful ~ your holiday decorating is simply gorgeous...not too much, just right!
And yeah Audrey!
Just wondering where you got the magnetic tangram/ geometric shapes from? Just beautiful (and a good Christmas gift for grownups too)
I love all the hits of yellow in your holiday decorating... it even coordinates with your card... you are too good!
georgia kate -- aren't those cool? they were actually at the museum, so i'm not sure where they're from...
