Christine + Catherine walking through the pop-up shop...
So the Little Bean/Rickshaw party was a rousing success if I do say so myself...
There was a great turnout, fantastic music (thanks to our lovely dj Lacy) plenty of bubbly and bubbles (oh my do kiddos love bubbles) and perfect weather. It was like the weather gods smiled down on us, as we had a breezy, mild evening in the midst of our late summer heat wave, allowing guests to spill out onto the sidewalk and linger well into the night. And of course, there was the charming and delightful Catherine...so fun to meet and hang out in person!

Millie with her besty buds Stella and Charlie...
In fact the only hitch was the near mutiny over our cupcake no-show. It was a little like The Lord of The Flies at one point, with kids tugging desperately at my hem and begging for some frosted goodness. I was scared. I'm not gonna lie. Luckily, lovely cousin Erin came to the rescue (big time) with an emergency run to the Whole Foods where she literally cleaned them out of cupcakes. Crisis averted.
There was also all sorts of sartorial goodness from our guests, both grown-up and pint sized alike.

The lovely and talent Alicia (hubby Adam behind her) + baby Dottie...of Bows and Arrows, who provided all the amazing flowers. Thanks friends!

such very pretty things! and the cupcake incident made me smile -- when cupcakes are promised, cupcakes better be there, ha.
looks like so much fun. Wish I was there!
Awwwww ... it looks absolutely perfect!
So what the HELK happened to the cupcakes anyway????
Stephanie -- they just never arrived. no idea.
crazy...
we had a lot of fun, and arrived just in time for the cupcakes, which were perfect. thanks to all for a lovely evening! we'll be back!
I once hired a mariachi band to greet guests at the door for a mexican fiesta I threw and they never showed up. Margaritas helped with my panic attack over that snafu. p.s. Also meant to say that...the whole vibe of the party made me feel like I was back in NY...Brooklyn to be exact. And the DJ was great. xo
what a fun Rikshaw/ Little Bean Bonanza! love it!!
What a sumptious scrumptious party! You made me laugh with the "lord of the flies" comment. Having four kids I have hosted many a kid's birthday with such a scene...
Looks so fun!
lovely :)
Joslyn I'm sure you have mentioned it before, but would you mind sharing where you got that gorgeous necklace?
Allison -- the necklace was an anniversary gift from hubby last year. It's from Anthropologie.
Hi there I am a devout reader! I love your style. May I ask where the very cool gold WELCOME flag banner came from...I need it!
Hi Mellisa -- we found the welcome banner at an Indian market here in Dallas called Taj Mahal.
