Audrey's birthday is just a few weeks away, so we're in full party planning mode around here.
I'm big into the b-day party planning, usually kicking things off by asking the girls what kind of party they want months in advance. (Ok, I might be a little obsessive about party planning...)
Their answers are pretty comical, as they both seem to have a knack for requesting the most specific, multi-theme party possible (the apples didn't fall far from the tree here). Millie has already put in her order for a Rainbow/Unicorn/Princess/Fairy party (even thought her birthday isn't until the end of December), and this year* Audrey wants a French/Madeline/Artist party.
Umm ok...
* Here are a few of Audrey's past birthday parties: alice in wonderland, woodland fairy, princess and frog
So I pulled together a little inspiration board (see obsessive) and am planning a red, blue and yellow party (my nod to Madeline) with little frenchy touches (fizzy french lemonade, macaroons...) and an art activity. + each guest will get a beret and a neck scarf.
I'm skipping the cigarettes though in an effort to keep the whole enterprise on the up-and-up. Should be quite the bash...I'll keep you posted.
Have a great weekend friends...I'll be back next week with some posts from Germany.

love it and love your party-planning obsessiveness (something with which i can easily identify!)
That sounds ridiculously adorable. I can't wait to see photos of little ladies in their berets + scarfs!
Sounds lovely - have a great trip!!
I love this!
My little sister requested a Parisian chic birthday party this year too! The girls all decorated aprons then helped my mom make crepes a la Julia Child. Everyone loved it!
Berets and scarves are a must. Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
Love it!I think it's great that you did a mood board. That's the most fun! The little girls are going to have a ball.
My daughter Clara requested a French Picnic Pary. Her b'day is in Novemeber. She plans months in advance. She wants me to have a little boutique where the little girls can "shop" for items to put in their "travel" bags that we are going to make.
I love your ideas! What a tres chic party!
Great ideas for this very cool party.
Safe travels to Germany:)...Look forward to the pictures!
Fun! Let me know if you want me to pop some photos in the appropriate colors in the mail. ;)
i just asked my son last night what kind of bday party he wants....birthday is in December. Glad I'm not alone!
Oh my gosh!! I love this!! I am also glad to know that I am not the only one who obsesses about this stuff early on. I started planning my son's FIRST (ha!) birthday when he was about 8 months old. My husband thought I was crazy...especially when we went on a chocolate-dipping rampage the night before the party. It is so worth it, though!! Looking forward to pictures!
