Just A Few Random Bits...

I'm awfully smitten with Elisa Sednaoui's hair (via moodboard) -- specifically those dark roots and lighter ends. It might even be my dream hair... (Is it strange to have "dream hair"?)

I'm realizing I was obsessed with that same look on this girl too...maybe it's time to head to the salon with a photo in hand, no? (And don't even get me started on that dress in the second photo...stunning.)

I've been meaning to show you the ring that Bryan and the girlies got me for Mother's Day...

It was wholly unexpected gift, as I'd just asked Bryan for string lights for our patio and a big pot of yellow lantana for Mother's Day, but they surprised me with this too after they saw me ogling it at the museum shop during our visit to the DMA.

Love that guy...

I also thought it only fair to give you a peek of the things I bought during our Austin trip... From top: the sweet dress from Miss Natalie, my owl bottle opener from Spartan and the lovely Krank Press Texas produce calendar.

Ok that's all ;-)

  5. I love that hair too. I just recently went from blonde (which I've been all my life) to brown (which has been my natural color since about 22) --a big change, but I love it. I would like the lighter ends too. Silly, but one of the characters on 90210 (the new one) has this hair and every time I watch (yes, I do... it's a sickening guilty pleasure) I think "I want that hair."

  8. I love that hair too, I'm naturally brunette and have always loved that kind of darker roots, sandy brown/dirty blonde ends and when I tried it it just ended up looking a bit frazzled and reddish and I couldn't grow it and cut it out fast enough..maybe I just didn't have the right colourist..

  9. I have that hair right now. Well, almost. It's not as perfect as the two examples. I went to the salon and had it done but my hairstylist decided to bleach the ends a honey brown color and left my roots alone. My hair is a sandy brown color naturally so I was kind of hoping for the other way around. She ended up frying my ends and I bought a dye kit from Ulta and went at it myself. Also bought a deep conditioning mask to help too. But now I think it's the way I want it, just frazzled. So do some research first and learn from our mistakes! :)

yes, i talked to my colorist last night and the frazzeled ends were her big concern, she said she'd have to essentially run bleach through my hair to get that effect. Yikes.

    good report --
oooh that cut is indeed perfection. KH is awfully cute! It's a DwellStudio runner...one of my favorite things ;-)
