I am not planning a wedding...
And yet I somehow find myself on Kathryn's genius blog, Snippet and Ink, several times a week. It is beyond lovely, and inspiring, and filled with an insane amount of eye candy. It actually makes me want to plan my wedding all over again (and I really liked my wedding, so that's saying something...)
Kathryn is also incredibly lovely and kind and funny and mellow (mellow being one of my favorite qualities in a person.) She and I were on a panel together at Alt, and I loved being around her. She's just the kind of gal you want to be around.
Oh and she loves See's candy as much as I do -- just had to throw that in for good measure.
So without further ado, herewith Kathryn's favorites. Enjoy and have a splendid weekend!
...and now for the winner of the Virgina Johnson scarf (no I didn't forget to pick a winner and just try to steal the scarf for myself...I promise ;-) It's Katie G. Congrats and drop me a line with your contact info!

See's Candies - especially the butterscotch squares. I'd eat a pound of them in one sitting if you gave me the chance. And I love the vintage black and white packaging.
Down Pillows - Just thinking about them makes me feel all snuggly and cozy. Whenever I travel, I bring one of my soft squeezy pillows with me, tucked in a bright orange t-shirt so that I don't leave it behind.
Bluegrass - I love banjos and mandolins and fiddles. Love them. I know Kentucky is the Bluegrass State, but old-timey folksy music makes me think of my time in Mississippi and summers in Montana. I love that.
The Golden Gate Bridge - On a clear day, or with the fog rolling in, or lit up at night, this bridge is one of my favorite things on earth. When my fiance spent Christmas with my family for the first time, we walked across the bridge, and he said I was really spoiled to grow up there. I agree.
Beauty Standbys - If I had to choose just three things in my makeup bag to make myself gorgeous, I'd pick my Shu Uemura eyelash curler, Chanel Inimitable mascara in black, and Kiehl's Lip Balm #1. Gorgeous, I say.
Garden Roses - Roses aren't the most original pick for favorite flower, but garden roses kind of make my heart skip a beat. Look at those ruffles! I can't think of a more perfect flower. Sigh.
Chocolate Chip Cookies - When I was a kid, we'd make these with my mom all the time. Now, I keep homemade dough in my freezer so I can have warm cookies anytime I like. Which is often.
Oliver People Sunglasses - See those beauties on the left? Those are mine. I feel like a big nerd most of the time, but I'll admit - I feel pretty cool with these sunglasses on my face.
Paperback Books - People seem to like Kindle, so I won't knock it until I've tried it for myself, but I have a hard time believing that anything could be better than a good book. They feel so good in your hand, and they get dogeared and loveworn, and you can put your name on the inside cover. These four books are my very favorites - I could read them again and again and again.

Such a beautiful list. And I can really appreciate a girl who loves Sees candy! That's just good taste.
This list is so homey and nice. I want to lay back on a down pillow, eat a see's, listen to rain on my tin roof and read To Kill a Mockingbird.
Bahhh! I'm sure Kathryn's list is sensational, and I fully intend to go read it just as soon as I'm done here, but I had to comment and tell you how excited I am to have won the giveaway. Thank you so much! I feel like a very lucky girl indeed. Can't wait to sport those whimsical camels around my neck. This is a great day.
See's Candy is my fav. My grandparents always put a plate of it on the table during family gatherings and special dinners. I now do the same when I host special events.
Oh I just adore Kathryn (and her blog) so it was so fun to read her list. Love this column! I love knowing what blogging friends include among their favorites. :-)
um, yes, Sees is so good! great list!
Oh great blog discovery! Thanks for sharing. I hope to be planning a wedding (well, soonish...).
what a cozy list! bluegrass and rainstorms on a tin roof! i heart..
So true about books - holding them in your hand, touching them, their smell . . .Not to mention snuggling under your bedcovers with them and, For Pete's Sake! Would you take a Kindle into a hot bath?!? I think not.
Also agree with your choices.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sees....and the GG!!! I'm also from the bay so its SOOOO close to my heart!! ;) Hope you are having a nice weekend!
It was so lovely to meet you at the style/SWOON event last week. I've been enjoying peering through your blogs over the weekend... I'll be keeping up!

I really really love Kathryn. She's simply the coolest.
ahhh...tin roofs and rain storms in summer and good real books and bluegrass...and real garden roses that actually smell like roses (as opposed to engineered for perfection roses that don't have any smell). ahhh, yes.
what a cute sunglasses comment :) that made me smile. great list!! xoxo
Do you know where the dress in the sunglasses picture is from?
