The weekend was busy and hot (our cool fall weather decided to take a hiatus I suppose)... Audrey + Bryan had an Adventure Princess induction ceremony, which involved getting a little smudge of black lipstick on her nose, wearing leather vests they made themselves and picking "tribal" names for each other (they've decided to go with Big Beatle/Little Beatle in honor of her love for the Fab Four.)
In other activities, we also went to a "food fight" birthday party -- seriously genius idea, the kids went nuts for this, but really how can you go wrong when you let 20 six-year-olds throw spaghetti, jello and mashed potatoes at each other and then jump in the pool.
I'm tempted to do this for my next birthday party, so liberating, no??!
Hope your weekend was fab!

what a fabulous idea for a party! if i had a bigger outdoor space, i'd have one in a second!
Adventure Princess!? That would be right up our alley. Oh please let there be a chapter in S.D. Looks like your beautiful Audrey had a blast!
What a great idea for a birthday party, and you had good weather for it this weekend too.
So do the kiddo's get hosed down before they jump in the pool? So cute.
Indian princesses. Awe. Big Beedle and Little Beetle looked like they were having such a great time. Good bonding times for dads and dads, dads and daughters and fab time for the gals. Do the moms get to gather on someone's back porch and sip wine?
mb...that's the plan. first campout and it's a wine party for the moms ;-)
indian princess. i think that will be pres and my halloween costumes.
So sweet! I love it. Wish they had Adventure Princesses when I was little. Would have been right up my alley.
food fight party - brilliant!
