In addition to Bryan's b-day festivities this weekend, we also bought a few new plants and spruced up the backyard in anticipation of my sister and nephews' upcoming visit...
We have some great garden shops in Dallas, but nothing that seems quite like Flora Grubb Gardens....total bliss.
+ check out her cute dress over jeans look -- my kind of girl that Flora...

A lovely garden shop indeed. Closer to home, how about www.gardens-austin.com or www.bigredsun.com both in Austin. Gardens in Dallas just doesn't have the depth of inventory. Boo.
i love that bench!
Oh, that dress is fantastic! Love the little embellishment!
gorgeous greens :)
Oh, I love Big Red Sun in Austin. I have yet to find a garden shop I really love in Dallas. . .
That bench is great!!!
garden looks great! I really like her look too..
Isn't she adorable! I love that plant stand.
That is such an adorable outfit! Now I am kind of annoyed that I passed up on a similar dress I saw in Paris last weekend. It was outrageously inexpensive, so can't figure out why I put it back on the rack.
cool bench and a lovely garden shop
What a wonderful garden shop!
love the green + brown and the use of wood!!! i've been needing some inspiration for our back patio. :)
Abby and Marybeth -- i too love big red sun and gardens in austin. the closest i've come in dallas is a combination of gardens for pots and accessories and sunshine plants on greenville for excellent succulents, fiddle leaf figs, and loads of other groovy plants.
By the way, I have called Gardens in Austin and/or have driven down and picked out plantings, pots, and goodies and have had them send it up to Dallas on the Garden' truck. They send things up to the Dallas store all the time from Austin. We scored a beautiful Acacia tree and a dwarf olive recently.
marybeth,
great tip! thanks
Oh, what a beautiful shop and a beautiful gal!
I love it all!
