I love this card so much I had to include it twice...No matter how mindful I try to be in my spending, I rarely have any self control whatsoever when it comes to purchasing books. Even in college, if I had any extra cash (which was pretty rare), I'd eat rice and beans all week and head to Half Price Books to add a few classics to my collection. I love being surrounded by books; I love the fact that my girls live among lots of books.
Basically... I. Love. Books.
But... (You knew there was going to be a "but", didn't you?) the sheer volume of books in my house is starting to get a wee bit out of control. So, these days I'm spending a lot more time in the library and trading books with buddies on a regular basis. In fact, I'm so committed to this idea of book sharing that I've started trading with my blog friends as well. The lovely Mary of South End Blend and I recently traded books for a few weeks, and (as she's a much faster reader than me...I'm still reading Mary), I got my book back in the mail yesterday with an added bonus -- this adorable card tucked inside, which pretty much sweetened this book exchange deal even more.

This is such a brilliant idea! I have a book fetish as well. When we moved at the beginning of the month, the bulk of what we moved were books! I love the idea of trading :)

This post is especially good timing for me. I have a stack of books I need to go through and setting up an exchange is the perfect solution with the "what to do with these" quandry.
