In addition to their beautiful ceramics, the Heath factory store was stocked with all sorts of lovely homewares created in the same spirit as Heath's own goods (local, designed to last, celebrating craft, etc...)
Tucked along the rows of plates, bowls, serving dishes, teapots... was a well-curated selection of books and letterpress cards plus Edward Wohl wooden serving boards, Skinny LaMinx tea towels, pieces from Atwater Pottery and, the standout, June Taylor's incredible jams...
Amy grabbed a jar of the blood orange marmalade, (which we proceeded to slather on toast with almond butter for breakfast the next morning) and I can honestly say it was the best jam I've ever tasted. I think I might just get everyone on my Christmas this year a box of See's Dark Chocolate Bordeaux and a jar of this jam and call it a day.

This place looks just fabulous. I love how they display things. And now I have a craving for jam!
There are so many yummy bits and bobs in these photos! How could you contain yourself? :)
Oh my! I just passed out from retail pleasure. Thanks for such a great post.
I cannot believe how desperately I want to visit the Heath Store. Your photos and descriptions have just made it worse for me....but in a good way!
mmmm...sounds divine! I need to visit sweet Heath now!
Jora -- they had that "picnic basket (bag) you love too!
Oh, the maple cutting boards! Beautiful!
I've sampled that same marmalade in Seattle. No wait, maybe it was Meyer Lemon? Yes, it was Meyer Lemon. Just as good as blood orange I presume. I just noticed a mention in Living this month and made a mental note to grab some the next time we are in the Bay Area. Thanks for the reminder!
OK, that's it. I'm going there next weekend!
Oh how I would love to visit! Everything looks lovely & I spy some sweet Skinny Laminx tea towels...!
