This Definitely Falls into the Category of Impulse Purchase...
- It never even made it to the list.
- I can't wear it to work. (usually if I spend more than a certain amount on an item, I have to be able to wear it to work and on the weekend -- it's my rule...)
- It's not really something I would even typically buy...
But I loved it, and I bought it, and now I'm admitting it to you.
That felt good. Thanks.
p.s. it's not this short in real life.
p.p.s. gosh that model's legs are skinny...

Joslyn-I bet it looks great on you!
it is EXACTLY what you should wear not-to-work! gorgeous and spare and just-right-wispy.
{you should've shown the back scoop...perfection.}
I love it...You can wear it in San Fran! I love shift style dress! Love it!
oooh amy...maybe i'll wear it to the party
karey -- yes the scoop back is what ultimately got me.
Gorgeous! And you can wear it over trousers or jeans in the fall...
PS: I does look short!
PPS: I noticed the skinny legs before the dress!
Oh, that J.Crew. Gets me everytime. I love it and know you'll look gorgeous in it.
P.S. Who wants legs like that model's, anyway? They look like arms.
I was coveting that yesterday!
BRAVO! Well done! :) It's fabulous!
ooo la la!! I bet it looks fantastic on you.
and geez, get some meat on your legs honey!! that model is tiny!
Could you wear it to work with some skinny capris or something underneath? Or is the back too reveling?
I'm all about rationalization...
Gorgeous, I love the back!
elena -- yes the back is what makes it not work for my office...unfortunately ;-(
her legs are too skinny. but the dress is gorgeous!!!
ooops...missed it! Completely sold out! Lucky you!
that is amazing. i can see why the whole thing went down like that!
Love it! Completly understand it too.
ooh, i loooove it! j. crew...its just too good sometimes.
and an impulse buy? its necessary every now and again. :) and surely you deserve it.
What about a plain cami underneath? Covers up the back and keeps it cute... (I love the Eloise [nylon and spandex] at Anthropologie; they have them every year.)
