Temptation
So I was all poised to write a smug little post about not wanting to buy anything over the past couple of weeks...I was even planning to go all Bertrand Russell on you again with this pity little quote:
"To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness."
And while I do believe this, I really do, I found myself in a major moment of weakness late last week. It started out innocently enough, as I dashed into Old Navy to pick up a quick baby gift but quickly found myself sucked into a vortex of cute. It was seriously the best stuff I'd seen in there in, well, forever... buttery leather totes, sparkly beaded sandals, sweet camisoles, springy frocks...And don't even get me started on the little girl's clothes.

You are killing me!!! That's from Old Navy??? Yipes. I love that bag!!! And I just wrote a blog about how disgusted I get with myself for buying lots of bargain priced things I don't need rather than waiting for the absolutely wonderful, just about perfect item that I can use and use and use. It's hard to be "above it all", isn't it? Pithy quotes and all... ha ha ha. It's probably a good thing that I haven't yet found the Old Navy in my new town...
:)
