So it appears I will be traveling to Munich for work in a couple of weeks. It’s going to be a whirlwind trip (just a few days), but if I’m not racked with jet lag, I may have the better part of a day to explore the city a bit before my meetings start.
Here’s where I need your help, specifically any of my international/world traveling readers… If you had just an afternoon in Munich, where would you absolutely go, any must-visit shops, etc…?
Feel free to e-mail me directly with ideas as well.

Check out the Mahalo travel pages for Munich. They have lot's of good info on what to see and where to eat: http://www.mahalo.com/Category:European_Destinations
(PS - sorry I never commented before, but I know absolutely boo about design or really anything aesthetic)
(PPS - I think it's 'Vielen Dank')

i haven't been to munich for years josyln, sorry i can be of no help on this one. but have a great time, even if it is for work, it is always nice to be placed somewhere else for a change of scenery. px
I highly recommend the Kunstareal (art district) in the city centre. There are several huge museums so you'll have to run through to see it all, but my favorite is the Pinakothek der Moderne to see the Paul Klee paintings!
