I’m generally pretty practical when it comes to clothes. I’m not going to attempt to classify myself as low maintenance (for fear of mass ridicule by my friends and family), but given Audrey’s fondness for digging in the dirt and Millie’s need to spit up all over me on a regular basis, I just can’t bring myself to purchase anything that can’t be washed a million times and still look decent. But every once in a while I get completely obsessed with an item of clothing that flies in the face of practically, thumbing its nose at muddy hands and baby mum mum crusted faces. Currently it’s this white coat. I know, I know, white… But I can’t get it out of my head.

Don't do it Joslyn! Even though you don't have the mud, snow and general crap that we do in the winter....it's just an accident waiting to happen...Can you say cranberry juice?
i know, i know...but isn't it sooo pretty...
It's lovely! Last year there was a white cashmere coat in a small shop in town. I lusted after it all winter. No one bought it and she had to drop the price. I tried it on and almost had it to the counter...two boys, a dirty car and a dog, quickly changed my mind :(
you are obsessing over a white coat. i'm obsessing over this baby mum-mum stuff. i have to track it down and try it.
btw - buy the white coat. you'd look smashing...
i have a lot of winter white in my wardrobe and, as you know, am one of your dirtiest most unsophisticated friends AND i'll tell you something. dirt and crud on white sort of blends and disappears.
it's kind of like the theory that white cars actually look less dirty than other cars in other colors.
there must be some law of physics or fractal light theory to explain it.
buy the coat.
love,
carol
I don't blame you; now I wont' be able to get it out of my head. Good Lord, that is GORGEOUS!
Wow. 2007. I found this site after googling a white coat i had seen on an episode of glee. I love it. Wish it were still avail.
